The process involves drawing seawater from the Caspian Sea,filtering it, and using it to cool the building’s chilled water plant. Thiseliminates the need for traditional cooling towers and minimizes reliance onfossil fuels.

The benefits of SWAC include:

• Reduced operating costs and greater long-termefficiency

• No evaporative water consumption and noozone-depleting CFCs

For low-rise residential buildings near the CrescentDevelopment Project, a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system has been chosenover a centralized cooling system. VRF offers several advantages for thesespaces, including:

• Individual temperature control for differentrooms or apartments
• Lower energy consumption by adjustingrefrigerant flow based on demand
• No need for mechanical rooms, making it idealfor residential projects
• Quiet operation and improved indoor comfort

Unlike traditional fan coil systems, which rely on a singletemperature for the entire building, VRF allows customized cooling and heating,making it both efficient and cost-effective.
